KONE required an application for mobile devices to be used by the supervisors when managing the scheduling tasks and when monitoring the activities performed by technicians, as well as during the processing of related statistics in order to overcome the severe limitations imposed by the costly web component of the Remedy system.
Featuring Geocall functionalities, an application optimized for Android devices has been developed and named “Konect Mobile”. It comes with a simple and easy-to-use interface which allows to view and edit technicians’ timesheets, schedule operators’ activities and search activities. The application is integrated with KONE’s back-end systems and interfaces with the Remedy platform via communication to REST and JSON services.
